Silver Granite was well known stallion who was born in Ireland in 1983, stood stud there, then in the southwestern part of the US for a few years, then back to Ireland.  He passed away in 2006.  We are fortunate to have a good quantity of frozen semen available which was proven viable in 2008 when all his mares settled with one insemination.

Silver Granite was a versatile sire who stamps his stock.  His offspring have won in the show ring and in dressage and jumping competitions.  He himself won in hand and under saddle in dressage.  He jumped well and his dam was a proven performer.   At 16.2 hh, he provides a good size and may help the breeder to produce more average size stock from that huge giant of a mare. He was a wonderful type of Irish Draught and would be a great addition to any breeding program.
